How much Money should I Bring With Me?
Bonds:
When you rent a property you are required to pay a bond. This bond can be as much as one months rent. When you sign the rental contract you will need to pay that bond AND a months rent.
You will also have to pay a bond if you rent in a shared accomodation.
Spending Money:
You will need money to buy furniture, a bed, a pillow, maybe a home kitchen pack from IKEA, etc. You will find things much easier if you can come here with a few hundred dollars to spend. It may seem like a lot to start with but compared to what you might spend over a year of fully furnished house, it is worth it!!
First Pay Slip:
It is possible that you will not receive your first pay until three weeks into commencing your job.
